How much does it cost to import a Toyota Alphard / Vellfire from Japan to Ukraine in 2026
We follow a 2014 20-series minivan from a Japanese auction to pickup in Odesa: what each step costs and how long it takes.
Auction purchase with delivery to a Japanese port — $2,500 to $4,000
The price includes transport from the auction yard to the port, about $700 on average. The lower end buys a car that will need some work. A car without serious defects costs closer to $3,700–4,000. Both can pay off, as long as you know what you are buying. That is what the Japanese auction sheet is for: it shows the grade, mileage and a damage map.
Sea freight to Poti — about $2,000
A container slot to the Georgian port of Poti. From auction to arrival in Poti takes about 2.5 months on average: roughly a month waiting for loading in Japan and 5–7 weeks at sea.
Port and transport to the workshop — about $450
Port fees, paperwork and a car carrier from Poti to Rustavi.
Left-hand drive conversion — about $1,600
On the Alphard and Vellfire the steering is not simply moved across. The conversion uses a dedicated RHD → LHD kit for this model: a left-hand dashboard, steering rack, pedal box and mounts. The workshop fits the kit, moves the instrument cluster, rewires climate and multimedia controls and swaps the stalks.
